PolyfaceMesh Colors?

Jul 19, 2009 at 5:08 AM

I'm attempting to use .net dxf to convert a D3DXMESH (.X) into .DXF.  I've successfully managed to output all the geometry, but I'm totally stumped on colors - everything I try, I'm unable to set colors for the vertices.  I know it's possible because I found a few sample 3D models in DXF format online which had different colors on its different vertices...Any help on how to approach this would be greatly appreciated...I've really tried everything I can think of:

->Setting the color on each PolyfaceMeshVertex

->Setting the color on each PolyfaceMeshFace

->Setting the color on the PolyfaceMesh itself

->Creating a new layer for each of the above, and setting the color for that layer

Each of these attempts results in the same colorless mesh when I view it in DWGSee (the dxf viewer i'm using)

Thanks in advance...

Sorry, correction: I was able to set the color of the entire PolyfaceMesh by creating a new layer for it, and setting the layer's color.  However, I wasn't able to figure out a way to set the colors for individual vertices...
